SEBASTOPOL vices will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday for Peter Fred Gregori 60, who died Friday at a Sebastopol hospital after a brief illness. A native of Sebastopol, he lived all his life in Sonoma County and was a rancher. He was a member Farm Bureau, Sebastopol Apple Growers United and a director of the Sebastopol Co-op. He is survived by his wife, Laureta P.

Marsh, all of Sebastopol; Youths held for school vandalism Two Santa Rosa youths were arrested by police after allegedly causing major damage at Montgomery High School and Santa Rosa Junior High School early Saturday. Booked at county jail on felony malicious mischief charges were Scott Pangburn, 18, of 2510 Mark West Springs and Marshall Allen Anderson, 19, of 84 Larkfield Dr. Police said they received the first call about the pair shortly after 1 a.m. at Montgomery High School and then received a second call shortly after 2 a.m. at Santa Rosa Junior High.
Police Lt. Niles Olsen said the two young men allegedly drove their vehicle across lawns, doing extensive damage, circles and doing wheelies." However, the youths eluded police both times. Units were dispatched to Santa Rosa Junior High a second time after reports the pair returned shortly after 5 a.m. When patrol units arrived at the scene, the suspects tried to escape by driving through a chain link fence, causing extensive damage. 'Extensive' fire at cleaners Santa Rosa firemen responded Friday night to a blaze in the Thompson Cleaners building at 4038 Montgomery but little information about the blaze was available.
Saturday morning the departmental report was in the hands of a "senior captain," and by Saturday evening, the man operating the "communications center" said no reports would be available until "business hours" at 8 a.m. Monday. Damage was said to be "extensive" in the 10:15 p.m. fire. Sonoman beats clock, makes council race SONOMA Alvin J.
Wallman, 48, was the last candidate to file nomination papers for the City Council before Wednesday's noon deadline. Wallman said he had his papers completed and ready to file, but they "turned up missing" from his truck Wednesday morning, and he had to fill out a second set before the noon deadline. He made it with six minutes to spare. Wallman owns and operates the Fire-Free Service, 20150 Broadway, Sonoma. He was a a candidate for City Council in the last municipal election.
City Clerk Eleanor Berto said there are now five candidates for the two Council posts. Election is set for March 2. The candidates are incumbents Daniel Ruggles and Thomas Pitts; Ken McTaggart, Sonoma attorney; William Whitney Sonoma County employee; and Wallman. Services were Saturday for Vinice Dory LeBaron, 88, Santa Rosa, who died Tuesday in a local convalescent hospital. Mrs. LeBaron, a native of Iowa and 36-year Sonoma County resident, had been salesperson at Rosenberg's before retirement. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of the Roses, Ladies Consistory Club of Santa Rosa, and Worthy Matron, O.E.S., Napa, Idaho. She is survived by her children, Roy LeBaron, Oakland, and Robert LeBaron, Santa Rosa; sister, Myrtle Thorn, Lafayette; brother, Gilbert Dory, Oregon; one grandchild eight great grandchildren.
